Inpatient Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) will be responsible for managing the treatment and care of GI patients primarily at AdventHealth Orlando Campus. This full-time inpatient position requires performing health assessments, diagnostic procedures, and managing various conditions related to the digestive system.

Responsibilities

• Perform health assessments on GI patients, including history and physical examination
• Manage patients with various digestive system conditions
• Order, interpret, and incorporate diagnostic tests into the plan of care
• Formulate appropriate diagnoses based on clinical findings
• Provide ongoing patient/family and staff education
• Collaborate with all members of the healthcare team
• Document care in a timely and thorough manner

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in APRN or PA Studies
• Clinical inpatient experience with Gastroenterology (preferred)
• Valid Florida License
• Certification from an accredited APRN or PA program
